Helen Murphy, Assistant Librarian at Trinity Hall, joined us for a week at the beginning of January. She was keen to get more experience in a rare books library – unfortunately for her it was very quiet, and just about reader-free, all week. This was great for us as she got to help us with routine library stuff that we had been putting off doing.
She made significant in-roads into the cataloguing mountain that we still have (on our special Cambridgeshire Collection) and also did some cleaning and refurbishing of some of the antiquarian books in the Wilkins Room which were still suffering from the building project.
I only hope Helen got as much from the week as we did. – You’re welcome back any time, Helen!
